we first started thinking about building in San

Thank you so much for
all the great work you and your crew did on our
new home in the Baja. I was surprised at how quickly
it went from drawings to final cleaning, and I’m
a builder myself. Of course, the neighbors were
even more surprised than I, because they have
seen other houses in the surrounding area, (built
by other builders), take much, much longer. I
especially want you to know that I appreciate
the attention to detail that went into our house.
The tile work turned out better than I ever expected,
and you saved the living room with your paint
matching ideas. Thank you for all the effort that
went into this home and the follow-up for the
things I would never have considered without your
input. We love the new house, and look forward

B.J. HAS BEEN GREAT
TO ME! ALTHOUGH MY PROJECTS TO THIS DATE HAVE
BEEN SMALL, SHE HAS TRIED HER BEST TO APPLY "NORTH
OF THE BORDER" CONSISTENCY AND QUALITY IN
AN AREA THAT "MAÑANA" CAN HOLD
YOU TO A SNAIL'S PACE. WHEN I MEASURED MY KITCHEN
AREA FOR CABINETS, I WAS SHOCKED TO FIND LESS
THAN AN 1/8 OF AN INCH DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FLOOR,
COUNTERTOP HEIGHT, AND UPPERS AND PERFECTLY SQUARE!
NOW I DARE YOU TO FIND THAT WITH WOOD FRAME CONSTRUCTION
AND THIS WAS WITH BLOCK!! HER AND CARLOS HAVE
KEPT ME HAPPY AND WILL GET MY NEXT PROJECT!

love the home BJ Sweitzer and Carlos Mora built
for us. They were involved in both planning and
construction. When we were ready this winter to
add an outdoor room, ramada and driveway constructed
of thick pavers, fortune smiled on us and found
them a little spare time to squeeze us into their
busy schedule. Many visitors to Play de Oro come
into our home because we entertain frequently and
the sales staff know we are happy to talk to prospective
neighbors. Ours was the first house by the water
and we are affectionately dubbed "the pioneers
of Play de Oro". The home has consistently
made a favorable impression on people and the recent
addition especially merits rave notices.
The cost and
conditions for building were clearly presented by
BJ as were any changes or additions. Final settlement
held no surprises. From the beginning our association
has been one of absolute trust. Two years later
and they still make minor adjustments with a smile.
You are in good hands with BJ and Carlos.

You
are planning on a big adventurous trip. Yahoo! But,
it is unfamiliar wilderness territory, you don't
speak the language and you have a lot on the line.
Equivalent
to taking the Oregon trail in a covered wagon. Trust
me, I've been there. Do you hire a rawhider you
know nothing about?
Someone
you are unsure about? Someone who just might scalp
you before the trip is over! Or do you pony up the
money and hire the most honest and toughest guide
in the business. If you are building a house in
San Felipe, that's BJ Sweitzer. Your choice. You
decide.

Being
a " Stranger in a Strange Land " and not
knowing the rules and regulations pertaining to
the construction of our very first NEW home we were
extremely lucky to find B.J and her contractor Carlos
Mora. Both masters in their fields. An added plus
was the perfect Spanish spoken by B.J. You get what
you pay for. B.J. and Carlos were not the most expensive
but well worth the money for their individual talents.
And YES we would use them again and again if needed
!!

I think anyone who is building in Mexico has
done their homework on builders.. the reputation
of BJ and Carlos is already there. Not
much more to add because of their excellent reputation....what
I would add is not only are they the best in San
Felipe as far as building, they stand behind their
houses....three years later when something might
come up....THEY ARE THERE... p.s.. they have built
both of our homes....

Building
our Baja dream house with B.J. and Carlos was the
best design/construction experience we've ever had.
They saw to it that the house was completed on time
and on budget. B.J. was there for us every step
of the way solving problems and making suggestions
which enhanced our finished home. Carlos and his
crew of craftsmen turned our plans into a beautiful
reality. Their finishing work and overall attention
to detail are excellent. In short, Sweitzer Construction
(B.J. and Carlos) exceeded our expectations from
start to finish. And, best of all, they have become
our friends.
